I flew out to Montreal on a special project with Sean John to attend a couple events for Grand Prix. Hands down, the festivities that take place in Montreal during GP are one of my favorite events in Canada. Not only is the nightlife off the chain, but on Saturday, the streets are lined with well dressed boys & girls wining and dining, shopping and frolicking. My stay @ the Ritz Carlton was ritzy, most definitely the cherry on top to an already fun weekend.

My schedule looked something like this…Time Supperclub on Friday night hosted by Nick Cannon (and my dear friend Zark from Tdot), late night Chinese food…Diddy’s party @ Tribe Sat night, Opera hosted by Lindsay Lohan, etc, etc…crazy ridiculous fun with an equally ridiculous amount of alcohol to match! Sat afternoon, we walked down Cresent St & St Laurent, hung out with my fav Montreal peeps @ the WRG BBQ on the rooftop of Tokyo Bar, had dinner with the SJ peeps and I even made it to the Montreal Casino and blew some hard-earned $$….no sleep for me!! I made it back to Tdot just in time for WWW….That’s my girl Shay Shay’s much anticipated event called What Woman Want…more on that soon.

I saw Alicia in concert a couple years back, but that was before “No One”…most definitely one of my favourite songs of 2008 so I couldn’t miss this one! Shout out to my boy Taj from Maxamus, who threw the Concert Pre-Party on Wednesday, June 4/08 hosted by Alicia Keys & Neyo and big thanks to JR for the front row seats! Party was live and the concert was just fab…Alicia was gorge!

The DJ STYLUS AWARDS 2008 were held on Monday, June 2/08 @ Capital Event Theatre this year. Stylus unifies DJs from across Canada, recognizing their achievements and celebrating their craft. I was asked by my boy Click from Universal to be a presenter, specifically for “FEMALE DJ of THE YEAR”. I was honored to be a presenter and stoked to be the bearer of good news to one really deserving DJ. I had my fingers crossed for my girl DJ LISSA MONET, who in only 1 year, has made quite a name for herself and although she didn’t win, kudos to her for all her amazing accomplishments this year…u must know I’m you’re #1 fan. CONGRATS to all the 2008 DJ STYLUS AWARDS WINNERS!

The Glow in the Dark Concert was held in Toronto on May 21. It was an sick concert, to say the least, with a sick lineup…NERD, LUPE, RIHANNA, and KANYE, etc…but was held at the outdoor venue Molson Amphitheatre, so it was freeeeeeeeezing!!! I made it to the concert in time for Rihanna and Kanye. My floor seats were crazzzzy so I captured some snazzy pix!Although, the concert may have been too cold, I warmed up quickly at AFTER GLOW!! The good people at Circa Toronto hired me to throw a private after party “AFTER GLOW”…hosted by Lupe, Kanye, Pharrell, Rihanna, and BFF Chris Breezy, of course. The guestlist went from 500 to 1500 in just a few hours, 150 of them all a part of the “Glow in the Dark” Tour. The vibe was dope and as an added bonus Lupe and Kanye performed for a small crowd just after 2am.

DRY CLEAN ONLY Tuesdays continue every week @ REIGN with the JAYZ & MARY J BLIGE TRIBUTE PARTY, an exclusive event brought to you by the cool guys from ROUNDTABLE (Andrew, Hector, Taurean & Mark) & the 29ers (BeePee & Lucky). Spin cycle this week was NY’s DJ NEIL ARMSTRONG, who was in Tdot as JayZ’s Official Tour DJ and kind enough to spin this special tribute. It was a treat to have him and alongside the beloved LISSA MONET, the music was just crazzzzy all night. Thnx to my boy The KID FAMOUS killed it as MC, and Kim Davis performed a dope Mary J set. The club reached capacity @ 1am, so I’m very sorry to those of you that didn’t get in.

The heat is on this Tuesday @ REIGN (Toronto), as I add DJ Neil Armstrong to the ‘Spin Cycle’. He’s in Toronto as JayZ’s official tour DJ for the JayZ/MaryJ concert on Wed at the Air Canada Centre so I thought it would be fitting to have him spin a “DRY CLEAN ONLY” TUESDAY NIGHT EXCLUSIVE EVENT. My old buddy DANTE ROSS (www.danteross.com) is also rolling through Toronto to visit and as his first time in Toronto I asked him to host my party. Peep his website, its so dope and by far, one of my favourite sites!!! My girl DJ LIssa Monet will be putting together a sick JayZ set and there will be a special performance by KIM DAVIS, performing some Mary J Blige classics. The KID FAMOUS will be back to MC, check out his video which has created a crazy buzz internationally…the lineup just keeps getting better. Week after week, Ima keep making it REIGN!
